Believer's Baptism

One of the greatest joys we have at Garden City Baptist is baptizing believers.  Baptism is a testimony of what Jesus has done in a person’s life.  When one goes under the water, it is symbolic of dying and being buried with Christ.  Coming out of the water is symbolic of being born again – raised to walk in newness of life.  We believe that baptism is separate from and follows salvation.  It serves to publicly profess a person’s faith in Christ.
If you are ready for this step, talk with our pastor during the Sunday morning service invitation or send an email pastorcharlielanier@gmail.com.
“We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.”– Romans 6:4

Church Membership

Becoming a church member isn’t just about meeting with the pastor, taking a class, or filling out a sheet of paper.  It’s about joining a community of fellow Christians.  This step declares, “I am one of you.  I am committed to you.  I will give and serve as a part of this body to accomplish the mission that God has given us.”

If you are interested in taking this next step, please contact our pastor pastorcharlielanier@gmail.com or the church office (843) 651-3663 to set up a time to discuss membership.  We will walk you through these steps and answer any questions you may have.
